1. Wynwood Walls
Wynwood is located near Miami Design District. It is a collection of giant wall murals painted by various artists from around the world. While Wynwood Walls is a trendy tourist spot. I recommend getting there early, especially on weekdays.
2. Lifeguard Stands of Miami Beach and South Beach
The lifeguard stands on Miami Beach, and South Beach is ironic. Not all lifeguard stands are the same. Some are recently remodeled. My tip is to take photos at Miami Beach. Avoid going to South Beach. It is too crowded.
3. Museum Garage
It is a seven-story garage with innovative art, design, and architecture. The Museum Garage is located in the Miami Design District. It is known to be the colorful parking garage in Miami. Perfect for Instagram photos.
4. Greynolds Park
Graynolds Park is located in North Miami Beach. There are a few limestone rock structures and bridges, which are excellent for exploring and portraits. If you are into wildlife photography, there are qualities of mangrove forests and wildlife animals like birds. Once I saw a young gray fox, I thought I was out of my mind. Luckily, the person next to me witnessed it, and we both laughed. However, it isn't allowed if you want to shoot on location with equipment and backdrops. I tried to once and was asked for a photographer permit.
5. Cape Florida Lighthouse
Cape Florida Lighthouse is one of the oldest lighthouses in Florida. Built-in 1825. It is a beautiful backdrop for your photos; you can climb the stairs. This might not be for you if you're claustrophobic or fear heights. Walking the path near the lighthouse will lead you to a cute old cottage.
6. Matheson Hammock Park
One of my favorite locations to shoot. It is a lovely scenic beach and park. It is a pristine beach which makes it perfect for photos. I do recommend coming on the weekday. During the weekend, this park gets overcrowded.
7. Ingraham Park
This is a small park located in Coral Gables. The park's centerpiece is a beautiful fountain inspired by the Palace of Alhambra in Granada, Spain. This is great for formal portraits like engagements and quinceaneras.
8. The Berry Farm
The Berry farm is a farmer's market located in Homestead. It is known for the sunflower field. Just keep in mind that the sunflower season is from March to November. If you decide to visit later in the year, the sunflowers would look less lively.
9. TY Topeekeegee Yugnee Park
Topeekeegee Yugnee is not only a long name to pronounce but also located in Hollywood, but it's worth it. It's one of the biggest parks I have ever been to in South Florida, but there is various shooting spot with shades. The white gazebo used for couples and weddings is my favorite thing about this park.
10. Dania Beach Pier
Yes, I know Dania beach pier is part of Broward. The location where you want to take photos is under the pier. It is excellent for couple's portraits.
